Punjab Police successfully prevented the abduction of two men in Rajanpur after swift action, saving them from falling victim to a honey trap orchestrated by the notorious Kacha area gangs. According to details, the victims identified as Ihsan Ali and Mubashir, residents of Okara are tyre traders. They were lured to the Kacha area with the promise of purchasing cheap vehicles. However, timely intervention by the police thwarted the criminals' plan and rescued the victims before they could be abducted. The Punjab Police spokesperson stated that the Kacha gangs frequently use honey traps, enticing individuals with offers of inexpensive goods or through online friendships with women, to lure unsuspecting individuals into their clutches. “This modus operandi targets simple and gullible citizens, often leading to serious crimes, including kidnappings,” the spokesperson explained.
In response to this latest incident, Punjab Police has intensified public awareness campaigns across all media platforms and at key checkpoints, urging citizens to remain vigilant and avoid falling for such traps. The spokesperson further appealed to the public, “Do not fall for offers that seem too good to be true or engage in risky dealings with unknown individuals.
