Punjab Police marked a major milestone, completed the Century of extradited fugitives, and proclaimed offenders from abroad this year.

Six More Dangerous Fugitives Wanted for Various Crimes extradited from the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday night.
Under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police has achieved a significant success by completing the century of fugitives arrested from abroad this year. Punjab Police spokesperson shared that the total number of dangerous fugitives arrested from various countries in 2024 has reached 104. In continuation of this, Punjab Police has arrested six more dangerous fugitives, wanted for various crimes, from the United Arab Emirates and brought them back to Pakistan. A special team of Punjab Police brought these six criminals to Lahore Airport on Tuesday night after their arrest in the UAE.
Among the arrested criminals is Qaiser Mehmood, a fugitive wanted in a murder case for the past 10 years by the police of Police Station Saddar Kamonki, Gujranwala. The second criminal, Baber Wasim, has been wanted for two years by Police Station Cantonment, Gujranwala, in a case of murder. The third criminal, Abdul Haseeb Khan, has been wanted for two years by Police Station Civil Lines, Gujranwala, in a murder case. The fourth criminal, Zeeshan, was involved in a murder in the area of Police Station Makhdoom Rashid, Multan, and had been wanted for 16 years. The fifth criminal, Nadeem Afzal, was involved in a murder in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kunjah, Gujrat, and had been wanted for three years. The last arrested criminal, Taj Rasool, was wanted in a case of armed robbery and injuring a citizen by firing.
Spokesperson of Punjab Police further shared that the police team had issued red notices for all the accused through Interpol and coordinated closely with the UAE Police to arrest and bring the criminals back to Pakistan. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the police team, led by RPO Gujranwala Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, CPO Gujranwala Rana Ayyaz Saleem and the in-charge of the Special Operations Cell, Inspector Khalid Nawaz Weryah, for this successful operation. IG Punjab directed that legal proceedings be completed promptly and that the criminals be given due punishment. He further emphasized that with the help of FIA and Interpol, more dangerous fugitives would be arrested and brought back to the country.
