RPO orders probe into incident at dist courts complex
TOBA TEK SINGH: A boy shot a murder suspect dead on the premises of Faisalabad district courts complex, where the victim was brought for appearance by police on Monday. Police and court sources say that Ali Imran of Chak 244 RB was arrested by Roshanwala police as a suspect in the murder of one Sajjad. On Monday, Imran was brought to the district courts complex from jail by the police for appearance in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Awais. As the hand-cuffed suspect was being taken to the courtroom, Saqlain Zafar, a cousin of the slain, Sajjad, opened indiscriminate fire, leaving Imran dead on the spot. The attacker later surrendered himself before the police. Regional Police Officer Dr Muhammad Abid Khan has directed CPO Kamran Adil to hold an inquiry into the matter to find out how the suspect succeeded in bringing a gun inside the complex despite strict checking.
