Work on upgrading inter-provincial check posts in Rahim Yar Khan, Daawala, and Kot Sabzal is progressing rapidly, Punjab Police spokesperson.
On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, timely steps are being taken to curb criminal and anti-social elements in the Kacha areas. Work on upgrading the inter-provincial check posts in Rahim Yar Khan, Daawala, and Kot Sabzal is progressing rapidly. Solar panels have been installed at all Kacha Police camps, with the provision of refrigerators, fans, and the best lighting arrangements ensured. Night vision cameras are being installed at the inter-provincial check posts. The check posts are being strengthened and expanded to prevent smuggling and ensure effective checking. To protect the lives and properties of the public and tackle Kacha criminals, additional police personnel have been deployed in the Kacha area on a permanent basis. Development work on all police posts in Kacha and the construction of solid structures is in the final stages. Armoured vehicles and police teams equipped with modern weapons are working around the clock. DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal said that the welfare of police officers and personnel deputed in Kacha is being given full attention. The police have achieved significant successes in their operations against Kacha criminals with many criminals meeting their logical end. DPO Rahim Yar Khan said that intelligence based targeted operations will continue until criminal elements in Kacha are completely eradicated.
