Punjab Police providing homes to the Families of brave martyrs Who Laid Down Their Lives in the Line of Duty.
Under the directives of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, families of two Rahim Yar Khan police martyrs receive their own residential homes.
Punjab Police remains steadfast in its commitment to providing permanent residences for the families of brave martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Following the directives of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, two families of martyrs from Rahim Yar Khan Police have been provided with homes. The families of Police Constables Ghulam Hussain Shaheed and Qasim Shaheed were given houses worth Rs. 27 million under the martyr quota. Both officers embraced martyrdom on November 29, 2023, during a confrontation with dacoits in Kacha Machka. SP Investigation Arsalan Zahid personally met with the families of the two martyrs at their new residences. The families were provided fully furnished houses in a private housing colony in Rahim Yar Khan, selected based on their preferences. Constable Qasim Shaheed is survived by his parents and wife, while Constable Ghulam Hussain Shaheed leaves behind his mother, wife, two sons, and three daughters. SP Arsalan Zahid highlighted that, under the special efforts of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the Punjab government allocated the funds for these houses. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid glowing tributes to the supreme sacrifices of Constables Qasim and Ghulam Hussain Shaheed. He remarked that the martyrs courageously confronted dangerous criminals while protecting the lives and property of citizens. He further emphasized that the Punjab Police will never forget the sacrifices of its valiant sons. Dr. Usman Anwar noted that the Rahim Yar Khan Police honors the legacy of 50 brave martyrs like Constables Qasim and Ghulam Hussain Shaheed. He reiterated that best welfare and care of police martyrs' families is a core responsibility of the department.
