Central Police Office: Rank-Pinning Ceremony for newly promoted Grade 17 Traffic Officers (TOs)
IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, pins ranks on 44 newly promoted Traffic Officers (TOs).
National Cricketer Hasan Ali exclusively attended the ceremony in Honor of His Brother Gul Sher, Promoted Traffic Officer from Gujranwala.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that the traffic police’s service and promotion structure has been significantly improved, and further promotions to the rank of Traffic Officer (TO) will be given in April next year. IG Punjab praised traffic wardens for their unwavering commitment in adverse conditions, describing them as the true ambassadors of Punjab Police. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and courteous behavior in public interactions, particularly during traffic management. He directed officers to ensure the continued delivery of exceptional services both on the roads and in licensing offices, upholding the department's image. He noted that a robust and disciplined traffic system reflects the governance of a state and the values of a civilized society. Recognizing the critical role of traffic police in combating smog, he encouraged them to sustain their dedicated efforts. IG expressed these sentiments at the Central Police Office during a rank-pinning ceremony for 44 Traffic Officers promoted to Grade 17. IG Dr. Usman Anwar personally pinned ranks on the promoted officers, wearing the traffic police uniform for the occasion. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the officers and instructed them to approach their new responsibilities with renewed zeal and dedication. He emphasized that departmental promotions signify greater professional responsibilities and encouraged the officers to excel in public service. Traffic officers from Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala received their ranks during the event, which was attended by their families and loved ones. Senior officials, including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, Additional IG Traffic Mirza Farhan Baig, DIG Establishment-I Dr. Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Capt. (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, CTO Lahore Ammara Athar, and SSP Traffic Punjab Syed Ghazanfar Ali, were also present.
