Punjab Police’s major success against Kacha criminals, another dangerous dacoit Killed in Rahim Yar Khan
Following the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police has been relentlessly conducting intelligence-based operations against Kacha criminals. In a significant breakthrough, Rahim Yar Khan Police successfully neutralized another dangerous dacoit operating in the Kacha area. According to a spokesperson for Punjab Police, the police foiled a robbery attempt by Kacha dacoits targeting a local citizen, leading to the death of one dacoit. The deceased was identified as Farooq Chandia, a resident of Paka Chandia, Sindh.The armed dacoits, including Farooq Chandia, had launched an attack on the house of Abdul Rashid Abbasi near Maqbool Mor in the Kacha area with the intent to rob. Upon receiving the alert, a heavy police contingent responded immediately, deploying armored vehicles. The dacoits fired indiscriminately at the police, prompting a fierce exchange of gunfire. During this confrontation, dacoit Farooq Chandia was killed. His accomplices, however, took advantage of the darkness and managed to escape into the fields.
Punjab Police spokesperson further said that Farooq Chandia had been wanted by both Sindh and Punjab Police for several grave crimes, including attacks on police officers, murder, robbery, and kidnapping for ransom. A Kalashnikov and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession. Following the incident, a comprehensive search operation was conducted in the area. The operation involved SHO Bhong, Kot Sabzal, the in-charge of the CIA team, Elite Commandos, and a large contingent of police personnel. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has congratulated DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal and the entire police team for their good performance and the successful neutralization of another notorious criminal.
