IG Punjab directed DPO Rajanpur to immediate Contact with Martyrs’ Families, Ensures Full Welfare Support
In a tragic incident on the Indus Highway near Khetran Pump, Rajanpur, two police officers lost their lives and another were injured when their police van collided with a truck. The martyred officers have been identified as Atta Ullah and Muhammad Kashif, while injured Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zeeshan. Rajanpur police team had been pursuing narcotics smugglers following a tip-off about the transportation of illegal alcohol when the collision occurred. The injured officer was swiftly transported to District Headquarters Hospital, where he is receiving prompt and specialized medical treatment. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the RPO Dera Ghazi Khan. He has directed that the injured officer be provided with the best medical care available. IG Punjab expressed his heartfelt tribute to the martyred officers, saying, “The brave officers who have laid down their lives in the line of duty are a source of immense pride for us all. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Ensuring the welfare of our martyrs and their families is our foremost responsibility.” IG Punjab also directed DPO Rajanpur to immediately contact the families of the martyrs, and ensuring they receive comprehensive support and care.
