LAHORE. Traffic wardens on duty at Mall Road thwarted a child abduction attempt, rescuing a 13-year-old boy from kidnappers. According to a spokesperson for the traffic police, Senior Wardens Nasir, Furqan, Shahid and Hamid Alam prevented the abduction through their vigilance. The incident unfolded when patrol officers noticed two unidentified people forcibly taking away the boy on a motorcycle. Sensing something suspicious, the officails signalled the motorcycle to stop. The suspects left the boy and fled the scene. The boy said the kidnappers had drugged him and were taking him from Ludhar village. OUR CORRESPONDENT
