Punjab Police Committed for the Best Treatment & Rehabilitation of Hearing-Impaired Children of Its Employees

 

Punjab Police remains dedicated to ensuring the best treatment and speedy rehabilitation for the hearing-impaired children of its employees. In line with this commitment, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has approved Rs. 8.8 million for cochlear implant and bone marrow surgeries for six affected children. According to details, Rs. 1.96 million has been allocated for the cochlear implant surgery of three-year-old Umme Farwa, the daughter of Constable Muhammad Arshad. Similarly, Rs. 1.96 million has been approved for the cochlear implant surgery of three-year-old Muhammad, the son of Constable Nadeem Ahmed. Another Rs. 1.96 million has been allocated for the cochlear implant surgery of four-year-old Muhammad Arham, the son of Constable Abdul Hameed.  Additionally, Rs. 1.83 million has been issued for the cochlear implant surgery of three-year-old Ahmed Bilal, the son of Traffic Warden Muhammad Ahad Rasheed. Rs. 1 million has been approved for the bone marrow transplant of four-year-old Amna Bilal, the daughter of Head Constable Muhammad Hassan. Lastly, Rs. 73,000 has been allocated for the purchase of cochlear implant accessories for five-year-old Tayyab Hafeez, the son of Head Constable Muhammad Hafeez.  IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the cochlear implant surgeries will resolve the hearing problems of these five children. After recovery, all the children will be able to lead normal lives, pursue education, and shape their futures. Dr. Usman Anwar further mentioned that Punjab Police has already facilitated cochlear implant surgeries for over 25 children of its employees. Under the " harmary Phool Project," children suffering from Thalassemia and Cerebral Palsy are being provided with monthly stipends for medical treatment. IG Punjab emphasized that further steps will continue to be taken for the health and education welfare of the children of police employees.
