A notification regarding the posting of AddI. IGP Punjab Police, Ch. Tanveer Ahmad, as AddI. DG / FIA Islamabad has been issued today.
Ch. Tanveer Ahamad has joined Police Service in 1979 as ASP. He served in Rahim Yar Khan, Khanewal, M.B. Din and Sialkot as ASP. After being promoted as SP in 1985; he served in Lahore, Bahawalnagar, and Gujrat. Afterwards he was promoted as SSP in 1991, and served in various cities like Lahore, Peshwar and D. I. Khan.
Later in 2003, he was promoted as DIG and served as Director FIA Lahore for two years. He also served as RPO in Sheikupura Division. In 2009, he served as DIG Elite Police Force, Lahore. In 2010, he was promoted as Addl: IGP, Punjab. Ch. Tanveer has a vast experience of various departments like FIA, Special Branch, Investigation and NAB.
Ch. Tanveer is known as one of the most diligent, honest and professional Police Officer. Due to his humble, soft nature and cooperative attitude towards his colleagues and subordinates; Ch. Tanveer has always been considered as a respectable officer among the force. 6th Common Police Officer done his Masters in Political Science and LLB. and was born in 1952.
