Punjab Police distributed Cheques worth 1.1 Crore rupees for the Construction of Homes for Families of 20 Martyrs.
So Far, 39 Families Have Received 4.9 Crore from the Punjab Police Welfare Fund, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar
Under the supervision of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, work on the construction of homes for the families of police martyrs who embraced martyrdom before 2017 is progressing rapidly. Payments for construction costs are being made from the Punjab Police’s Special Endowment Fund. In a ceremony held today, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar distributed cheques worth 1.1 crore among the families of 20 martyrs. These cheques included 10 lakh rupees each for two families, totaling 20 lakh rupees, and 5 lakh rupees each for 18 other families, totaling 90 lakh rupees. Dr. Usman Anwar said that, to date, the Punjab Police Welfare Fund has disbursed 4.9 crore rupees to assist 39 families with the construction of their homes. Dr. Usman Anwar also directed Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) to maintain close contact with the families of martyrs in their respective districts and ensure that district police provide them with all possible assistance. The families receiving the cheques expressed their gratitude to IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar for his support. Additional IG Welfare Imran Arshad, DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, AIG Welfare Ammara Shirazi, and other senior officers were also present at the ceremony.
