Punjab Police achieves another major success against Kacha criminals Rahim Yar Khan, by killing the notorious dacoit Shah Murad Lathani.

Following the directives of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is actively engaged in combating dangerous criminals in the Kacha area. In line with this mission, Punjab Police in Rahim Yar Khan has achieved another significant success, eliminating one of the region's notorious dacoits in an intelligence-based targeted operation. The deceased criminal has been identified as Shah Murad Lathani from Kacha Rojhan. A Kalashnikov and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession. Shah Murad was the brother of Miran Lathani, a notorious Kacha criminal who was wanted with a reward of 500,000 rupees. Shah Murad had been involved in several serious criminal crimes, including terrorism, robbery, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, and attacks on police officials.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the operation was carried out after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of dacoits in Shabeer Bagh. Armed dacoits opened fire on the police team. In the ensuing intense exchange of gunfire, one dacoit was killed, while the others managed to escape under the cover of darkness. During the operation, the police also successfully foiled an attempt to abduct a minority citizen. Criminals had sought refuge in Shabeer Bagh, but the police swiftly responded, preventing the kidnapping. The operation was supported by armoured vehicles, Elite Commandos, night-vision goggles, and heavy weaponry. The successful operation was carried out by a diligent police team, including DSP Bhong, SHO Bhong Police Station, and CIA In-Charge. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal and the operational team for their successful efforts. IG Punjab also emphasised that intelligence-based operations will continue to target and eliminate remaining criminal elements in the region.
