TOBA TEK SINGH: Jahania police of Khanewal district have arrested a woman, who falsely implicated two men in a case for “kidnap, rape and murder” of her 12-year-old son, who has been found to be alive, and was sent to her aunt’s house by his mother. On the complaint of Shehnaz Bibi, Jahanian police had registered on Oct 23 a case against two suspects, Anwarul Haq and Mohsin, for allegedly kidnapping, raping and killing his minor son, Shehroz. Acting on the complaint, the police arrested both suspects and started investigation into the matter. Police sources says while the investigation was underway, an acquaintance of Shehnaz’s family spotted the boy (Shehroz) in a picture taken at a wedding hall in Nishatabad locality of Faisalabad and reported to Khanewal police. The Khanewal police brought the matter into notice of Faisalabad City Police Officer Kamran Adil, who formed a police team, which traced and recovered the child from the house of hisaunt inGhulam Muhammadabad locality (Faisalabad). The police also arrested Shehnaz Bibi for lodging a false case against the two men who were still behind the bars. The sources say that it transpired during further investigation that Shehnaz sent her son to his aunt’s house in Faisalabad and staged the drama of his kidnapping, rape and murder just to implicate the two men, against whom she had some grudge.
