MUZAFFARGARH: The Chowk Azam police on Sunday arrested seven suspects involved in an honour-related double murder case. The suspects were identified as Saqlain, Zahid, Akram, Asif, Farooq, Mahboob and Usman. According to details, Azra Bibi, 26, had got divorce from her husband Saqlain and married Amir. At this, Saqlain and Azra’s brother, Zahid, killed her with blows of an axe at Chak 285/TDA. The suspects tried to settle the dispute with Amir’s family through reconciliation but failed to do so as his brother Nayyar Abbas opposed it. At this, they opened fire and shot dead the 23-year-old Nayyar Abbas and injured his uncle Ramzan in connivance with their accomplices. Police had registered the cases against the suspects and arrested them on Sunday.
