IG Punjab has released an additional 2.4 million rupees for the treatment of officers and personnel injured in various incidents: Punjab Police spokesperson.
Priority measures are underway to ensure the prompt recovery and best health welfare of officers and personnel injured in the line of duty in the Punjab Police. In this regard, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued over 2.4 million rupees for the medical treatment of officers and personnel injured in various incidents, including encounters with dacoits. According to the details that 500,000 rupees have been given to DSP Waseem Faraz's medical expenses, while injured Constable Muhammad Ayub will receive 350,000 rupees for treatment. Injured driver Constable Muhammad Hamid has been granted 500,000 rupees for medical expenses and injured Constable Waseem Arshad has received 350,000 rupees for treatment. Additionally, injured Constable Zahid Hussain and Ghazi Sub-Inspector Naik Muhammad will each receive 200,000 rupees for medical expenses, and injured Constable Nabeel Shehzad has been allocated 200,000 rupees for treatment. Injured Constable Muhammad Usman has been granted 100,000 rupees for medical expenses. Spokesperson for Punjab Police said that these officers and personnel were seriously injured while performing their duties in various districts, including Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, and Vehari. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that the swift recovery of injured officers and personnel is a top priority, and substantial financial assistance and support will continue.
