Rs8.5 million robbery case resolved

LAHORE. Police claimed to have resolved a high- profile robbery in the Lytton Road area, where 8.5 million rupees was stolen at gunpoint. The investigation revealed that the culprit was none other than the driver of the victim, Sheikh Shahid, a local businessman. The incident occurred when Sheikh Shahid entrusted his driver, Shafiq, and a security guard with Rs 8.5 million in business funds for a transaction. However, after collecting the money, Shafiq abandoned the vehicle and fled with the cash. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Muhammad Naveed took imme- diate notice of the robbery and instructed the arrest of the suspect.
