Mission to eliminate heinous crimes: Punjab Police intensified the crackdown against dangerous criminals across the province.

Under the leadership of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police is firmly committed on the mission to eliminate serious crimes across the province. Efforts have been intensified to crack down on dangerous criminals in all districts, including Lahore. This year, police have dismantled 5,351 criminal gangs involved in serious criminal activities and arrested 13,124 criminals throughout the province. Properties valued at Rs. 5.8 billion, including stolen goods, have been recovered from these criminals. The recovered items include 1,514 vehicles, 23,062 motorcycles, 2,167 tolas of gold, 9,496 mobile phones, and 4,755 livestock, all of which are being returned to their rightful owners. Additionally, over Rs. 4.6 billion in cash has been seized from various wanted criminals. In Lahore, 3,049 gangs have been eliminated, resulting in the arrest of 6,782 suspects, with properties worth over Rs. 270 million recovered.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the police teams for their exceptional performance in combating dangerous gangs. IG Punjab stressed the need for further acceleration of intelligence-based operations and crackdowns on organized crime. He directed that professional criminals involved in robbery, murder, abduction, and other serious offenses must be brought to justice. Effective patrolling, planning, and targeted operations in hotspot areas will be key to eradicating criminal activities. Dr. Usman Anwar also instructed that all available resources be deployed to ensure the protection of citizens' lives and property and to effectively eradicate the crime.
