IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar: Continuously Committed to the Welfare of Police Employees and Their Families
Over 1.77 billion PKR Spent on Welfare Initiatives This Year, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, is actively dedicated to the welfare of police employees and their families, with record amounts being spent on the force’s health welfare, children’s education, and the construction of homes for martyrs. Dr. Usman Anwar said that in the first nine months of this year, more than 1.77 billion PKR has been allocated to welfare initiatives, significantly surpassing expenditures from previous years.
According to the details, that 625 million PKR has been disbursed as educational scholarships for police employees' children. Additionally, employees facing health issues received 196.3 million PKR in medical grants. As a wedding gift, 447.9 million PKR was allocated for the daughters of police employees. The families of the police employees were provided 53.4 million PKR for funeral expenses. Farewell grants amounted to 231.5 million PKR, while 180 million PKR was given as a maintenance allowance to employees’ families. Furthermore, 25 million PKR was given for the construction of homes for the families of police martyrs, and over 23 million PKR was provided for emergency assistance and legal financial aid to employees. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that financial difficulties faced by employees have been alleviated through the Police Welfare Fund and departmental welfare resources, and efforts are being made to further enhance welfare initiatives for the police force.
