Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has increased the amount for the purchase of homes for police martyrs to 5 million rupees per house, Dr. Usman Anwar.
Smart Safe Cities will be operational in 18 cities of Punjab by December 31, and throughout the province by June 30 next year, IG Punjab.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that the Punjab Police will never allow terrorists, outlaws, and those who deviate from the Constitution to succeed. IG Punjab vowed that we will account for the blood of police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country and the nation. IG Punjab said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has increased the amount for the purchase of homes for police martyrs to 5 million rupees per house, and Rs. 25,000 allowance has been approved for personnel on duty in the Kacha area. Dr. Usman Anwar mentioned that all new police stations will be completed in the current financial year, and border check posts have been strengthened with modern infrastructure and logistics. Smart Safe Cities will be operational in 18 cities of Punjab by December 31 and throughout the province by June 30 next year. He further said that the scope of Safe Cities will be expanded to 140 tehsils in Punjab. Punjab Police have transitioned to mobile applications and advanced technologies based on artificial intelligence, which is vital for crime prevention and traffic management, among all policing matters. Dr. Usman Anwar directed that any criticism of the police should be answered with improved service, protection, and better service delivery to citizens. He expressed these thoughts during a ceremony at the Central Police Office, where he addressed officers promoted from sub-inspector to inspector.
According to the details, a ceremony was held at the Central Police Office in honor of the 55 newly promoted officers from Sub-Inspector to the rank of Inspector. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, along with senior officers, presented the Inspector ranks to the promoted officers. Families of all officers including parents, children, and other family members of the newly promoted inspectors attended the ceremony. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and senior police officers congratulated the inspectors and their families. The promoted officers hailed from Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, and Gujrat. The event was also attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, DIG Establishment I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment Two Captain (Retd) Liaqat Ali Malik, and AIG Development Sahibzada Bilal Umar and among other senior officials.
