LAHORE: Police on Saturday arrested a woman for torturing her domestic help brutally. Accused Farah Bibi, wife of Saeed Ahmed of 135/B Askari 10, tortured 15-year-old maid. The accused along with her mother, Shahnaz Baig, subjected the young maid Muqadas to brutal torture. She was beaten with sticks and forced to drink hot water, causing serious physical harm. The severity of the maid’s condition prompted local residents to contact the police. Emergency services transported Muqadas to Services Hospital. Police have filed a case against Farah Bibi and Shahnaz Baig under Section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), which pertains to the offence of causing grievous hurt.
