Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar met with Ghazi Inspector Shahid Iqbal at the Central Police Office. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar extended full encouragement to Inspector Shahid Iqbal, who risked his life in the line of duty. Dr. Anwar remarked that Inspector Shahid Iqbal from Sargodha is a crime fighter and a valiant officer of Punjab Police. Inspector Shahid Iqbal brought to the justice the notorious proclaimed offender Ulfat Abbas wanted in 37 cases of heinous crime. This year, the accomplices of the proclaimed offender attacked Inspector Shahid Iqbal, targeting his leg with 17 bullets. The police department is providing all possible assistance and support for Inspector Shahid Iqbal's treatment.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that all measures are being taken to ensure the best possible treatment and swift recovery for Inspector Shahid Iqbal. With the support of the Pakistan Army, a prosthetic leg is being provided to Inspector Shahid Iqbal, who will soon be back on his feet to continue his duties. Dr. Anwar emphasized that officers like Inspector Shahid Iqbal are the true heroes of Punjab Police. Inspector Shahid Iqbal endured 17 gunshot wounds in the line of duty, and his determination and courage are exemplary for the entire force.
