Abducted minor boy recovered

LAHORE. A three-year-old boy, Adnan, who was abducted from his home in Mandi Baha ud Din, has been safely recovered in an operation by Defence B police. The police have arrested three suspects, including a woman, who were allegedly involved in the kidnapping and sale of the child. According to the police spokesperson, the suspects have been identified as Ghulam Mustafa, Imran Abbas, and Azra Bibi. The operation was launched after the child's father, Abdul Razzaq, reported the abduction to the Defence B Police Station. An FIR was promptly registered against unidentified individuals, leading to the swift action by the police. According to the reports, a special team utilised CCTV footage to trace the motorcycle used in the abduction. This led to the arrest of Ghulam Mustafa and his wife, Azra Bibi, who confessed during interrogation that they had sold the child for Rs50,000 to Imran Abbas in Mandi Bahauddin. Speaking at a press conference held at the Defence B police station, SP Cantt Avais Shafiq confirmed the recovery of Adnan and his safe return to his parents. SP Cantt Avais Shafiq commended SHO Defence B and the police team for their commend- able work.
