In the meeting, it was decided to procure modern bulletproof jackets for all police officers and personnel engaged in countering terrorists at border posts.
Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar chaied an important meeting at the Central Police Office . The meeting reviewed the logistics, procurement, and development matters of the police force. Additional IGs, DIGs, AIGs, and senior police officers participated in the meeting. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that Punjab Police faces challenges from terrorists and miscreants at border posts and in kacha areas and border districts. During the meeting, a briefing was given on the procurement of modern surveillance systems, body cameras, and IT-based equipment for the force. It was decided to purchase modern bulletproof jackets for all police officers and personnel engaged in combating terrorists at border posts. The meeting also decided to procure night vision modern weapons and equipment, sniper rifles, mortar shells, and ammunition to counter terrorist attacks. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the police force is being equipped with IT technology, latest equipment, and weapons in line with modern requirements. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the Punjab Police has thwarted the nefarious intentions of foreign terrorists and miscreants at border posts and in kacha areas. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that every policeman in the Punjab Police is a steadfast barrier against terrorists, miscreants, and criminal elements, and that the process of eradicating enemies of peace and dangerous criminals is being accelerated.
