BAHAWALPUR: Qutabpur police claim to have averted the marriage of a minor girl with an elderly man at Muhammadpur Ghota village in Lodhran district on Tuesday. According to police, they were informed on emergency helpline by a widow, Ms Amna, that three members of her in-laws’ family -- Rehan, Aziz and Ijaz -- were forcibly marrying her 14-year-old daughter to an old man. Acting on the complaint, the police conducted a raid on the house of the suspects and arrested them.
