Punjab Highway Patrol: Actively serving and protecting citizens, enforcing Laws on Highways across the Province.

Following the instructions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police are actively working around the clock to ensure the safety and security of citizens and the suppression of crime on all highways of the province. Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) has released its weekly performance report. According to details, PHP checked 1,063,161 individuals on the highways using the e-police post app. During the checking, 204 proclaimed offenders/judicial absconders were arrested, and 521,534 vehicles were checked, resulting in the recovery of 106 stolen vehicles/motorcycles. Under the road safety campaign, 78,535 e-challans were issued for traffic law violations. In terms of axle load management, 14,474 overloaded vehicles were fined, and legal actions including offloading were carried out, with a total of 33.2 million rupees collected as fines. Legal action was taken against 353 vehicles for the illegal use of gas cylinders. For the convenience of citizens, 5,054 driving licenses were issued. 17 missing children were reunited with their parents. 51 temporary and permanent encroachments were removed to improve traffic flow. 3,284 passengers received various types of assistance and guidance. At police service centers, 2,069 citizens were provided with different services. 22 cases were registered for illegal weapons possession, and 508 liters of alcohol were seized from drug dealers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar commended the PHP force for their excellent performance. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed that traffic flow, as well as citizen service and protection, be carried out with full dedication and sincerity.
