DERA GHAZI KHAN: A second police official died at Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan on Saturday after being injured by bandits at a police picket in Rujhan Mazari several days ago. The attack happened in the Sonmiani riverine area near Lounda Mor. Bandits ambushed a police picket, injuring Elite Constable Muhammad Rafique and ASI Muhammad Sadiq. Their colleague, Haji Muhammad, was killed instantly in the attack. The injured officials were taken to Shaikh Zayed Hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, Rafiq died, raising the number of deaths from the attack to two. Authorities are still investigating the incident and are working to capture those responsible for the deadly attack.
