Rajanpur: Punjab Police's another constable Rafiq Ahmad has sacrificed his life in the line of duty

 

Another brave official of Punjab Police has sacrificed his life in the line of duty. Constable Rafiq Ahmed, who was injured in the attack by robbers at a police picket in Rajan Pur, has also succumbed to his injuries. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the immortal sacrifice of the martyred Constable Rafiq Ahmed. IG Punjab said that the history of Punjab Police is filled with brave souls who achieved the rank of martyrdom while protecting the country and the nation. IG Punjab dr. usman anwar presented salute to martyr Constable Rafiq Ahmad , who sacrificed his life for the protection of citizens’ lives and properties. IG Punjab assured that priority measures would be taken for the best welfare of the martyr’s family.

 

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar instructed that the injured third officer, ASI Muhammad Siddique, be provided with the best medical facilities. Recently, robbers ambushed and fired from hiding at the police picket at Bangla Acha police station, Landa Mor, in Rajan Pur. During the intense exchange of gunfire, Elite Constable Haji Muhammad was martyred, and two other police officers were injured. Injured Constable Muhammad Rafiq succumbed to his injuries today at Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan.The funeral prayer of the martyr was held at the Police Lines in Rajan Pur, attended by a large number of police officers, political and social figures, and personnel. An active squad of police paid their respects to the martyr's body. The martyr has been sent to his native area for burial. Constable Muhammad Rafiq is survived by his parents, wife, seven daughters, and one son.
