Punjab Police Special Operations Cell 's major success: Another Dangerous Fugitive Wanted in Attempted Murder Case extradited from Germany
Following the directive of Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police intensified tge crackdown for arrest of fugitives residing abroad, in this regard, Punjab Police Special Operations Cell has achieved significant success by tracing and arresting a dangerous fugitive wanted in an attempted murder case from Germany. The fugitive, Harman Zaman Bhutta, was wanted by the City Jalalpur Jattan Police in Gujrat since 2023. He was wanted for attempt murdee case of shooting a person. Special Operations Cell obtained a red notice for Harman Zaman from Interpol. Following formal procedures, German police deported him to Pakistan. Gujrat team of the Punjab Police took the fugitive into custody upon his arrival at the airport. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, total number of fugitives apprehended from abroad this year has now reached 64.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised RPO Gujranwala Tayyab Hafeez Cheema and DPO Gujrat Munstansar Atta Bajwa for good work. IG Punjab said that tge crackdown on A-category dangerous fugitives should be intensified to ensure their swift arrest. Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that, with the help of FIA and Interpol, other dangerous fugitives should be apprehended and brought back to Pakistan to face appropriate punishments.
