Punjab Police Special Operations cell's major success: another dangerous fugitive wanted for Murder Arrested from Saudi Arabia
The total number of fugitives arrested from abroad this year has reached 63. Punjab Police spokesperson.
On the instructions of Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police has intensified its crackdown against fugitive criminals residing abroad. In this context, the Punjab Police Special Operations Cell team has achieved another significant success by arresting a dangerous fugitive wanted for murder case from Saudi Arabia and extradited him back to Pakistan. According to the details fugitive criminal, Haseeb Ahmad, along with accomplice Younis, murdered a citizen in Gujranwala in 2021. After the incident, both fugitives fled abroad. Both criminals were wanted by Sadar Kamoki Gujranwala Police. Under the leadership of Inspector Khalid Warya, police team arrested and transferred both fugitives back to Pakistan. Punjab Police spokesperson said that a few months ago, fugitive Younis was arrested from Oman and transferred to Pakistan. In the same case, his accomplice and second fugitive, Haseeb Ahmad, has been arrested from Saudi Arabia and transferred to Pakistan. Fugitive Haseeb Ahmed has been handed over to Gujranwala Police for further legal action. The total number of fugitives arrested from abroad this year has reached 63.
IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated RPO Gujranwala Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, CPO Rana Ayaz Saleem, and their team for arresting dangerous fugitives from abroad IG Punjab directed that the crackdown should be further intensified for the arrest of other dangerous A Category fugitives. IGP Punjab said that, with the cooperation of FIA and Interpol, other dangerous fugitives should be arrested and brought back to Pakistan.
