A spokesperson of the Punjab Home Department shared in a statement that a high-level meeting was called on Monday to decide the increase in head money for dangerous criminals and terrorists, and it was agreed to increase the bounties on wanted terrorists and criminals. According to the spokesperson, the increase in bounties had been pending for several years. This move is part of a broader strategy to tackle serious crimes, emphasising that individuals involved in heinous acts deserve no leniency. The government has urged citizens to support law enforcement agencies in bringing terrorists and criminals to justice.
