Dr. Sophia Bilal held a meeting with DIG Establishment-1 Dr. Suleiman Sultan Rana.
Following Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif's vision for a healthier police force, various health and welfare initiatives were discussed.
Project Director of the Hepatitis Control Program Punjab, Dr. Sophia Bilal visited the Central Police Office. During her visit, Dr. Sophia Bilal met with DIG Establishment-1 Dr. Suleiman Sultan Rana. During the meeting, various initiatives under the vision of healthy police force of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif were discussed and it was agreed to speed up the process of hepatitis control vaccination of Punjab police officers and personnel.
Dr. Sophia Bilal said that the vaccination of remaining police personnel in Lahore and other districts will be completed as soon as possible, and medications for treating hepatitis B and C will be delivered to affected personnel's homes. DIG Establishment-1 Dr. Suleiman Sultan Rana said that with the cooperation of the health department, the vaccination of 5,614 Lahore police officers and over 32,000 officers from other districts will be completed next month. Dr. Suleiman Sultan Rana emphasized that a healthy force is crucial for effectively combating crime, and therefore, the optimal health and welfare of the police force is a top priority. Further measures for the health welfare of the police force were also discussed during the meeting.
