Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has taken a commendable step for the welfare of the families of police employees who died during service. This initiative by IG Punjab has alleviated the financial difficulties of the families of police employees who passed away during their service. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued orders to grant PKR 750 million to the families of 362 employees who died during service in various districts, including Lahore. IG Punjab said that the families of every police employee who died during service will receive an immediate financial grant according to the rules and regulations. Dr. Usman Anwar further mentioned that PKR 10 million is being spent daily on various welfare initiatives for the force.
This year, over PKR 1.3 billion is being spent on funds for employees and their families. IG Punjab emphasized that the issues of police employees regarding health, education, weddings, pensions, and other matters are being resolved promptly. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar instructed supervisory officers to maintain close liaison with their subordinates and provide all possible relief. Dr. Usman Anwar assured that the Central Police Office will continue to address the issues faced by employees through the Police Welfare Fund and welfare resources, ensuring immediate relief.
