09 A category fugitives wanted in cases of murder and other henious crimes arrested and extradited from United Arab Emirates
Arrested fugitives include Irfan Asghar, Farhan Nazakat, Samar Abbas, Najib ullah, Saddam Hussain, Muhammad Rafiq, Muhammad Saqib, Muhammad Usman and Tariq Mehmood.
Under the supervision of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Police's, crackdown continues uninterruptedly for the arrests of dangerous fugitives who are absconding abroad and wanted for henious crime cases. In this regard, Punjab Police Special Operations Cell & Interpol Islamabad, conducted a joint international operation, have arrested and extradited 09 dangerous fugitives wanted for murder, attempted murder and other serious crimes from the United Arab Emirates and transferred them to Pakistan. A team of Special Operations Cell under the leadership of Inspector Khalid Waryah arrived at Lahore Airport from United Arab Emirates with 09 fugitives. Arrested criminals include Irfan Asghar, Farhan Nazakat, Samar Abbas, Najib ullah, Saddam Hussain, Muhammad Rafiq, Muhammad Saqib, Muhammad Usman and Tariq Mehmood.
According to the details, Muhammad Rafiq was wanted by the Dera Ghazi Khan police since 2011 in the cases of killing citizens and terrorism. Fugitive Tariq Mehmood was wanted by the Faisalabad police for 14 years in the case of the murder of a citizen. Fugitive Irfan Asghar was wanted by Badiana police station Sialkot for murdering his wife and disappearing her body. Fugitive Farhan Nazakat was wanted by Qila Deedar Singh Gujranwala Police for 02 years in the murder of a 16-year-old boy. Fugitive Samar Abbas was wanted by the Pakpattan police for 03 years in the murder of a citizen in Arifwala. Fugitive Najibullah was wanted by Dera Ghazi Khan police for 10 years in the murder of a citizen. Fugitive Saddam Hussain was wanted by tl Bhakar police in a dacoity case since 2018. Fugitive Muhammad Saqib was wanted by the Sialkot police for 01 years in the murder case , similarly fugitive Muhammad Usman was wanted by the Sialkot police since 04 years in the case of murder of a citizen.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the team of RPO Gujranwala Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, CPO Gujranwala Rana Ayaz Saleem for their great success in arresting A category dangerous fugitives. IG Punjab said that the total number of proclaimed offenders and fugitives arrested from foreign countries this year has reached to 59. Punjab Police issued red notices of the accused from Interpol, continued follow-up for their arrest and finally arrested them and extradited them back to Pakistan. IG Punjab directed that all fugitives should be punished after completing the legal process. IG Punjab directed to intensify the crackdown to arrest other dangerous A category fugitives. Dr. Usman Anwar said that with effective cooperation of Interpol and FIA, more fugitive criminals should be arrested and extradited back to Pakistan and brought to justice.
