IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Faisalabad region, reviewed Muharram security arrangements.
Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar is continuously present in the field during the first decade of Muharram ul haram and is personally reviewing the security arrangements for Muharram processions and majalis. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited Faisalabad region on Friday, accompanied by senior officers including Additional IG CTD Waseem Ahmad Sial. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar reviewed the security arrangements for the main processions and Majalis, RPO Faisalabad Dr. Abid Khan briefed the IG Punjab about the security arrangements.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Muharram security arrangements are being reviewed throughout Punjab, with the cooperation of all stakeholders and citizens, the atmosphere of law and order is being maintained, police teams are diligently performing their duties day and night. RPO Faisalabad said that foolproof security measures have been ensured in collaboration with the organizers, peace committees, district administration and security departments, complete screening & sweeping of routes and places is being done before holding sensitive processions.
During visit to Faisalabad, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar also visited Allied Hospital. IG Punjab inquired about the health of injured DSP Waseem Faraz, who got injured during the encounter with dangerous criminals a few days ago. DSP Waseem Faraz and his team brought to justice the notorious proclaimed offender included in Punjab's top 10 list along with his accomplices. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar appreciated the DSP Wasim Faraz and his team for their exemplary bravery and performance. IG Punjab kissed the forehead of DSP Wasim Faraz and prayed for his speedy recovery. IG Punjab also met the mother, children of DSP Wasim Faraz, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed the doctors to provide the best medical facilities to DSP Wasim Faraz, IG Punjab reiterated the determination to continue operations against criminals by making a sign of Victory along with the DSP Waseem Faraz. IG Punjab said that the officers and officials who have brought honour to the department with exemplary performance are our pride. Additional IG CTD Waseem Ahmed Sial and other officers including RPO Faisalabad were also present on the spot.
