LAHORE : The Punjab Police have claimed to have conducted 263 raids on drug dens across the province. The police arrested 105 drug peddlers and recovered some 61 kilogram charas, 1 kg heroin and 959 litre liquor from them. According to Punjab police spokesman, since February 26, more than 36,000 raids were conducted across the province and 17,435 drug traffickers held. Meanwhile, IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar Saturday visited Rawalpindi and inspected security arrangements of main processions and Majalis of Muharram. The IGP also visited Safe City Project and Police Khidmat Centre Liaqat Bagh during Rawalpindi tour. Reviewing the facilities provided in the service center also took feedback from citizens.
