Delegation of prominent shia community leaders, license holders of majalis and processions visited the Central Police Office

Shia Community delegation expressed satisfaction over Punjab Police's Security Arrangements for Majalis and Processions in the provincial capital

A delegation of prominent Shia community leaders, license holders of Majalis and procession and trustees visited the Central Police Office and met with Additional IG Operations Punjab, Shehzada Sultan. The delegation included leading organizers and prominent figures of key processions & Majalis locations such as Mochi Gate, Pando Street, Model Town, Imamia Colony, and Mori Gate of the provincial capital. Shia community delegation expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements made by Punjab Police for Majalis and processions during the Muharram. During the meeting, Shia community leaders provided suggestions regarding parking issues and traffic management on procession routes. Additional IG Operations Punjab, Shehzada Sultan, said that further improvements would be made in the coming days of Muharram to solve the issues caused by goods transport vehicles and containers. He assured that strict adherence to the time frame for the entry and exit of goods transport and containers would be followed.

Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan said that the reconstitution of the District Peace Committee will be considered in consultation with the Shia community leaders. Shehzada Sultan said that thousands of police officers and officials are doing their duty in the spirit of worship in the province including Lahore and the security arrangements will be further improved in the light of the suggestions of the Shia community leaders. AIG Operations Zahid Nawaz Marwat along with other officers of Operations Branch were also present on the spot.
