Punjab Police's another major success: Dangerous fugitive wanted in murder case arrested from Saudi Arabia after 4 Years
This year, the total number of fugitives arrested from abroad has reached 50, Punjab Police spokesperson.
Under the direction of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, police teams are conducting a crackdown to arrest dangerous fugitives who are absconding abroad. In this regard, the Punjab Police has arrested another wanted dangerous proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case after 04 years from Saudi Arabia. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the fugitive, Imdad Hussain, had been wanted by the Ferozewala Police, Sheikhupura, since 2020 in a murder and attempted murder case. Punjab Police, in collaboration with Interpol, issued a red notice and maintained continuous follow-up, Saudi Arabian police arrested the fugitive and handed him over to Pakistan. Punjab Police team took the fugitive into custody at the airport. Spokesperson Punjab Police said that the total number of fugitives arrested from abroad this year has reached 50.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the police team for arresting the dangerous fugitive from Saudi Arabia. IG Punjab said that the crackdown should be intensified to arrest other dangerous fugitive criminals of A category. IG Punjab said that in cooperation with Interpol and FIA, more proclaimed offender criminals should be arrested and brought back to Pakistan.
