Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) released the weekly performance report.
On the directive of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Highway Patrol, is actively ensuring law compliance and citizen safety on highways across Lahore and the entire province. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar instructed the force to enhance field patrolling in their beat areas, prioritize actions to prevent law violations and crimes, assist and guide citizens more effectively. He issued these directives while reviewing the weekly performance report of the Punjab Highway Patrol.
Punjab Highway Patrol Headquarters has released its weekly performance report. According to details, Punjab Highway Patrol is actively enforcing laws on highways of all cities, including Lahore, to ensure citizens' safety and protection. PHP teams checked over 665,000 individuals via E-Police Posts. During these checks, PHP teams arrested 113 wanted criminals and court absconders. PHP teams also checked 344,250 vehicles, recovering 52 stolen cars and motorcycles. Under the Road Safety Campaign, PHP issued 46,963 e-challans for traffic violations and managed 9,718 over-loaded vehicles through fines and legal actions, an amount of Rs 2 crore was deposited in the treasury as fine. PHP teams took legal action against 175 vehicles for illegal gas cylinder use and issued 3,278 driving licenses to facilitate citizens. PHP reunited 17 missing children with their parents and improved traffic flow by eliminating 59 temporary and permanent encroachments. PHP also provided assistance to 1,521 travelers and offered various police services to 1,028 citizens at Police Khidmat Marakaz. Additionally, PHP registered 20 cases related to illegal weapons and seized 250 liters of alcohol and 25 kilograms of charas from drug dealers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised PHP's outstanding performance, and directed them to continue dedication to traffic management, citizen service & protection.
