According to the FIR registered under section 429 of the PPC, constable Naqeebul Haq stated that upon receiving information, he arrived at the scene to find a donkey belonging to shoemaker Mumtaz in serious condition. The donkey had been tortured by farmer Sarfraz Mallah, after it entered his crops.
