Punjab Police is ensuring revolutionary measures for the welfare of Police employees and their families.

Under the direction of Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar, revolutionary measures for the best welfare of Punjab Police employees and their families are underway. Police employees are being provided with record welfare in all matters, including children's education, health, legal, and family affairs. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that in the first six months of this year, 1.38 billion rupees have been spent on the welfare of the force, benefiting thousands of employees' families.

Spokesman of Punjab Police said that more than 50 crore rupees were released for education scholarships for the children of police employees. A sum of 14 crore and 60 lakh rupees has been granted for medical assistance to employees facing health issues. The daughters of police employees have received wedding gifts worth 32 crore and 69 lakh rupees. The police employees have been provided with 12.3 million rupees for emergency aid in the category of urgency financial assistance. Families of police personnel have been given 37.9 million rupees for funeral expenses. On the occasion of retirement, farewell grants amounting to 15 crores and 89 lakhs rupees have been disbursed to police employees. An amount of 16 crore and 98 lakh rupees has been provided as maintenance allowance to the families of employees. Families of police martyrs have been given 15.5 million rupees for house construction. Employees facing legal cases have received legal assistance amounting to 8.7 million rupees. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the problems of the employees were resolved with the income received from the police welfare fund and the welfare sources of the department. Further measures for the welfare of the police force will remain continue in future as well.
