AHORE: A 16-year-old girl was shot dead at a mehndi function in the Manawan area Monday. Muhammad Ibrahim, father of the girl identified as Ayesha, said that he along with his family members had come to Ali Park near Rizwan Garden to attend a mehndi function of their relatives. They had set up tent on an empty plot and were busy in celebrations when two unidentified suspected motorcyclists approached and resorted to aerial firing. After a brief interval, they resorted to straight firing. Sensing fear, they ran for life. After sometime, they saw the victim falling on ground in a pool of blood. Police registered a murder case against the unidentified suspects. IG Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the CCPO.
