Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has paid great tribute to the supreme sacrifice of police officer Tanveer Abbas, who was martyred in the line of duty while fighting the robbers in Rajanpur. IG Punjab said that the sacrifices of martyred police officers & officials for the protection of lives & properties of the citizens will not go in vain, Punjab police will not hesitate to protect the lives and properties of the citizens.
The funeral prayer of Constable Tanveer Abbas, who was martyred during a encounter with the robbers, was offered at the Police Line Rajanpur, A large number of citizens including DPO Rajanpur Captain (R) Dost Muhammad, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mansoor Ahmad, Rangers and Police Officers, media representatives, lawyers, political and social figures attended the funeral. The martyr's body was honored with a salute by a smart contingent of police, and senior police officers, including the DPO Rajanpur and Deputy Commissioner, laid wreaths and prayed for the elevation of the martyr's ranks. DPO Rajanpur Captain (R) Dost Muhammad met with the martyr's family, paid tribute to the great sacrifice, and assured them of full departmental cooperation.
