IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar committed to the treatment & rehabilitation of thalassemia-affected children of police force and employees

More amounts of monthly health stipends have been released for thalassemia-afflicted children of employees posted across the province

Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, is actively working for the best health welfare of police employees and their families. As part of this ongoing effort, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released additional monthly health stipends for the treatment and rehabilitation of employees' children affected by thalassemia. Monthly payments of PKR 15,000 each have been given to 150 children suffering from thalassemia. For medical expenses from April to June, each child received PKR 45,000, amounting to a total disbursement of PKR 6.75 million. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that each child affected by thalassemia receives PKR 15,000 monthly and PKR 180,000 annually. Additionally, the police department ensures the best free treatment for these children. Dr. Usman Anwar mentioned that more than PKR 30 million will be spent on the treatment of affected children this year. He encouraged employees to register for assistance under the "Hamare Phool" project for their children's treatment, emphasizing that the Punjab Police Welfare Fund will spare no effort in providing excellent treatment and rehabilitation.

In further health welfare measures, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released over PKR 1.3 million in additional funds for the treatment of police employees and their family members suffering from various ailments. According to the details that allocations include PKR 500,000 for major surgery for a retired Additional IG, PKR 250,000 for medical expenses for Lady Constable Saima Liaqat from Sahiwal, PKR 200,000 for Constable Sanaullah from Dera Ghazi Khan for surgery, PKR 200,000 for Constable Qaiser Mehmood from Rawalpindi Police for head injury treatment, and PKR 200,000 for open-heart surgery of Head Constable Rehan Rauf from CTD. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stressed that best health welfare for the police force and their families is top priority and all resources are being utilized, and employees suffering from serious illnesses will not be left alone in their struggle for treatment.
