IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar Spent Eid-ul-Azha in the Field, Visited Tahafuz Manzil Foster Home and Police Flats Bhobatian
Dr. Usman Anwar celebrated Eid with orphaned & destitute children at Tahafuz Manzil Foster Home. He also visited the Safe City Headquarters Qurban Lines and the home of Zille Shah.
Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar spent Eid-ul-Azha day conducting field visits. After performing Eid-ul-Adha prayers at the District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh, IG Punjab first visited Tahafuz Manzil Foster Home. Dr. Usman Anwar celebrated Eid-ul-Adha with orphaned and destitute children, offering them Eid greetings, hugs, and showing affection. He inspected various sections of Tahafuz Manzil Foster Home, where the in-charge briefed him about the children residing there and the facilities being provided. IG Punjab mentioned that the foster home offers safe housing, food, and other amenities to homeless, destitute, and lost children and women. He also mentioned that the foster home has successfully reunited over 25 lost children and women with their families and plans to expand its scope to other districts in Punjab.
After Tahafuz Manzil, Dr. Usman Anwar visited the Police Flats in Bhobatian, meeting with the police personnel, their families, and children, and extending Eid greetings. He acknowledged that many police personnel residing in the flats were busy ensuring the security of citizens away from their own families during the Eid holidays. IG Punjab expressed pride in the police officers who protect the lives and property of citizens, even during festive occasions. He instructed the SSP Admin Lahore to enhance the facilities at the Bhobatian Police Flats, ensuring the provision of filtration plants, transportation, and other amenities for the police personnel and their families.
Dr. Usman Anwar also visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority on Eid-ul-Azha, where he greeted the police communication officers and staff. MD Safe City and Chief Operating Officer briefed IG Punjab on the security and other arrangements in place for Eid. IG Punjab reviewed the law and order situation, Eid security, and cleanliness arrangements via camera surveillance, personally monitorer the security and cleanliness arrangements directly from the Safe City screens. He also visited the Virtual Women Police Station and the Punjab Emergency 15 Center at Safe City, commending the officers who sacrificed their own celebrations for the safety and happiness of others.

Dr. Usman Anwar also visited the home of Zille Shah on Eid-ul-Azha, accompanied by SP Iqbal Town Salman Liaqat and other senior police officers. IGP Punjab met with Zille Shah’s mother, family members, and children, offering Eid greetings and inquiring about their well-being. Dr. Usman Anwar hugged Zille Shah's children, expressing affection and said that he came to share their happiness on Eid-ul-Azha.Dr. Usman Anwar assured the family of his continued support and that they will not be left alone at any time.
