IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar offered Eid-ul-Azha prayers at the District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh
IG Punjan paid tributes at the Martyrs' Memorial, laid a wreath, and offered prayers for the departed souls of the martyrs.
Inspector General of Punjab Police Dr. Usman Anwar offered Eid-ul-Azha prayers with the police force at District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana, Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, Additional IG Raja Riffat, DIGs Establishment One and Two, RPO Sheikhupura Athar Ismail, DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran, and a large number of retired and serving senior police officers and personnel were also present..Special prayers were offered for the nation's development, safety, and prosperity after the Eid-ul-Azha prayers. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid tribute at the Martyrs' Memorial, laid a wreath, and offered prayers for the departed souls of the martyrs.
Dr. Usman Anwar said that it is due to the immense sacrifices of police martyrs that we breathe in a peaceful environment today. He mentioned that security is on high alert across the provincial capital and the entire province during Eid-ul-Azha. Punjab Police is providing comprehensive security to all places of worship, key locations, and citizens. Over 40,000 officers and personnel of Punjab Police are performing security duties. Dr. Usman Anwar mingled with the officers and personnel after the Eid prayers, conversing with officers from various units and lady police personnel, inquiring about their issues. He also distributed Eid gifts among the police band and Grade IV employees. On IG Punjab's directive, government instructions regarding the collection of sacrificial hides were strictly implemented across the provincial capital and the province. IG Punjab urged citizens to donate sacrificial hides only to organizations approved by the Punjab Charity Commission and not to anyone else. Donating hides to banned organizations or aiding them in any form is a legal offense. IG Punjab said that strict actions are being taken against unapproved organizations and elements collecting hides through coercion or threats. Citizens are urged to report such illegal activities to 15 or local police.
