In a tragic incident at District Courts Attock, two lawyers were killed in firing by a police officer, leading to immediate action initiated on the orders of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Inspector General Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, took immediate notice of the incident. Attock Police swiftly arrested ASI Intizar, involved in the firing. Dr. Usman Anwar directed strict action against the culprit, ensuring that after thorough investigation, the perpetrator would face strict punishment.Spokesperson for Punjab Police revealed that an FIR has been registered against the accused, including charges of terrorism.
According to Attock Police spokesperson, the unfortunate incident at District Courts involved former resentment, where ASI Intizar Shah fired upon Advocate Malik Israr on the basis of past animosity, resulting in the deaths of Advocate Malik Israr and his companion Advocate Zulfiqar Shah. The motive behind the incident was reportedly ASI's frustration over Advocate Malik Israr's involvement in a family court case, which resulted in divorce for ASI. District Police Officer Attock Dr Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan has taken notice of this unfortunate incident. ASI Intizar Shah, who fired, was arrested and the in-charge Elite Force Attock and Muharr Elite Force were also detained for negligence and carelessness, further investigation is underway.
