Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan and IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar inaugurated the new Eagle Squad in District Police Lines Kasur
Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, visited Kasur and inaugurated the new Eagle Squad of Kasur Police along with Speaker of Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan. Provincial Minister for Schools Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, Regional Police Officer Sheikhupura Region, Athar Ismail, DPO Kasur, members of provincial assembly, citizens, lawyers, traders, organizations, and social figures attended the ceremony. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar paid rich tribute to the martyrs and recited Fateha for the souls of Kasur Police martyrs. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, said that the establishment of Eagle Squad in Kasur will prove pivotal in curbing crimes. The patrolling by Eagle Squad will ensure eradication of street crimes and enhance sense of security among citizens.
DPO Kasur, Muhammad Essa Khan Sukhera, briefed IG Punjab and Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan that a squad comprising 200 young police officers has been formed for the Eagle Squad. These officers will patrol the city on 100 motorcycles round the clock to ensure peace and security. Muhammad Essa Khan Sukhera further mentioned that in the first phase, 50 off-road motorcycles have been repaired and restored to their original condition. The police officers of Eagle Squad were provided 30-day modern training by elite commandos, focusing on physical fitness, martial arts, IT skills, weapon handling, firing, and first aid. DPO Kasur assured that trained officers of the police will patrol Kasur's roads to ensure the protection of life and property of the public. During the ceremony, the officials of Eagle Squad presented various practical demonstrations. IG Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, and esteemed participants appreciated their determination, courage, and skills of the eagle squad officials.
