Bandits opened fire on police, leaving two cops dead on the spot and one cop constable Mohammad Ishaq critically injured
RAHIM YAR KHAN: At least three policemen were martyred in an encounter with bandits in Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday. According to details, the bandits were robbing people at a tent service in Khanbela. When the police reached there, the bandits opened fire on police, leaving two cops dead on the spot and one cop constable Mohammad Ishaq critically injured, who later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital. Another injured cop Khaliq was receiving treatment in a hospital. The additional inspector general (IG) of South Punjab visited the hospital to inquire after the health of the injured. Despite passage of 48 hours, the police failed to arrest the suspected attackers.
