Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that the police is only institution that present sacrifice in the time of peace. IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that the human resource of Punjab Police is its real strength, supervisory officers can achieve good results by maintaining close liaison with the constabulary. Dr. Usman Anwar directed the police force to speed up the crackdown with effective use of modern technology to further reduce the organized crime. He expressed these views while speaking at the ceremony organized in the honor of officers and offocials with excellent performance at the Central Police Office today.
According to the details, an exclusive ceremony was organized in the CPO darasgah in honour of the officers and officials who performed the excellent in eradicating the heinous crimes. In which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar awarded the crime fighter officers and personnel of Gujranwala region with certificates of appreciation and cash awards. IG Punjab awarded cash prizes and certificates of appreciation to 02 police teams of Gujranwala district, 06 of Sialkot, 02 of Narowal, 02 of Gujarat and 01 of Mandi Bahauddin. All award winning officers successfully traced the accused in various high-profile cases including blind murders, dacoity and kidnapping for ransom. Inspector Ansar Javed was awarded the reward for arresting the culprits who robbed the cash van by killing 03 security guards on Chenab Bridge. Sub Inspector Arsalan Asghar was encouraged with appreciation letter for arresting the accused of robbery and murder with the help of modern technology. Sub-Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed was rewarded for the sucessful recovery of Rs 55 lakhs and arrest of the accused. Inspector Wahid Hussain and his team were awarded for arresting 80 accused involved in several serious crime cases with the help of modern technology. IG Punjab said that the reward ceremonies for officers and personnel with excellent performance will continue at all levels. Additional IG Establishment Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar and other officers were present in the ceremony.
